The elderly and those unable to work also need our help because of the lack of welfare nets in Ethiopia.    

 

The older generation are usually supported by their children, but if there are no children, the old people are left destitute. Some end up begging in the streets in Gondar.

The Meketa monthly support stipend provides beneficiaries cash for basic needs (like food, rent, basic household items) as well as medical care.
