The End of the Summer Camp

!שלום לכולם

The after school club (summer camp) is finished with big success! We enjoyed very much and the students were very very happy by the project.

In the final day I talked to both shifts [morning and afternoon students] about how was the methodology and how was the time we passed, both [shifts] of the students told me they had a great time and they got a great knowledge [from it]… ! Wow when I heard this, I was excited!!!!!!

These things and success are gotten by the help of the project staff, donors, also by the effort of respected volunteers and me. The volunteers were a big role in the club!!!! I want to give thanks forAVI, DAVID, SAHAVA, SARA, SAM. All were great teachers and I and the students always remember them!!!! They make the club unforgettable!!!! All in all, participants are succeed and happy by the project!

המון תודה לכולם!!

Finally the final party was really fun the students were really happy and enjoyed so much and we had fun together!!!! Thanks to you all!!!

Wow other amazing thing is, the elder group (from grade 5 to 8) the students together gave me a present. They say they are very happy by my teaching methodology and by my big help, so they gave me a present. Lovely!!!!

I'm so happy by all students and I always love them!

That’s all about the after school club (summer camp) and I’m waiting for the [academic] new year to restart the program – until that I will have some break.

Thank you for all your help!

With big respect!!!!!!!

GECH

Most girls in the Gondar Jewish community tend to stay at home and miss school during some of the days of their monthly cycle.   They could fall behind with their schooling and struggle to keep up with the class. We have linked up with the Days4girls project to provide girls with re-usable feminine hygiene kits. Seven kits were sent in time for International Women's Day.

We started a new club in Shewa Dabo – an area further out in Gondar where many of the Jewish families have moved to because the housing is much cheaper.  Click here to find out more about it

Our programme, LIFT, gives direct support to elderly and infirm members of the community living in poverty.  Learn more about it here.
